Douglas County is committed to fostering job growth by encouraging new business development, business relocation, and the expansion of existing companies. Douglas County offers incentives on a case-by-case basis and requires approval by the Board of County Commissioners.
Non-profit organizations may have limited opportunities to qualify for incentives. Eligible projects include those with significant community value and economic impact. Other incentives may be available through the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), such as performance-based incentive payments to qualifying companies. This may include state income tax credits, sales and use tax exemptions, and customized job-training grants. OEDIT also provides financing tools for businesses.
