Maintaining an open, transparent and accountable government requires that we maintain an equally open, transparent and accountable relationship with news media. The expectation of our Board of Douglas County Commissioners is that our Communications and Public Affairs staff will:
- Engage with and be responsive to news media;
- Provide frequent and timely access to County news via various traditional and online means;
- Enable access to and knowledge about public meetings and other means by which to engage with the County in the process of governance.
