Arapahoe/Douglas Workforce Center (ADWorks) – Provides career readiness workshops, resume assistance, information on job fairs and hiring events, assistance with job leads, and information on veteran job preferences.
VA VocRehab Office – Assists Veterans and Service members who have service-connected disabilities and an employment barrier/handicap find suitable careers.

Colorado Department of Labor and Employment – Providing career assistance to those who have served in the U.S. armed forces and other individuals who are eligible for Veteran’s priority of service
Valor Bridge Foundation – Provide a continuous program of education, community, and mentorship that develops carefully selected individuals into leaders in the private sector.

Including housing, food, clothing, and utilities.

Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation – Non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization: Supports the Douglas County Veterans Monument in Castle Rock and provides help to veterans in the county through a grant assistance program.
Rocky Mountain Human Services (RMHS) – Assist homeless veterans with temporary and permanent housing, health care and employment services and legal and financial services.
Volunteers of America (VOA) – Assist homeless veterans with temporary and permanent housing, health care, employment, legal and financial services.
Douglas County HEART Team – The Homeless Engagement Assistance and Resource Team (HEART) is a co-responder team that pairs Navigators with local law enforcement to respond to community calls regarding homelessness and provides support and resources to people experiencing homelessness.

Apply for VA Healthcare – VA health care covers care for your physical and mental health. This includes a range of services from checkups to surgeries to home health care. It also includes prescriptions and medical equipment.

Douglas County Human Services Department – Provides child and adult protection, temporary financial assistance, childcare assistance and other supportive services for qualified residents.
Douglas County Health Department – Over 60 programs/services ranging from birth certificates, immunizations and health care referrals to restaurant inspections

VA Home Loans – VA Home Loans are provided by private lenders, such as banks and mortgage companies. VA guarantees a portion of the loan, enabling the lender to provide you with more favorable terms.

DC Housing Partnership – Assists affordable housing: Section 8 Housing, Home Ownership Down Payment Assistance Program and foreclosure counseling.

The Castle Rock American Legion Post meets every third Thursday at 7 p.m. at CALF’s Lowell Ranch, 2330 I-25 (frontage road), in Castle Rock.
Highlands Ranch American Legion Post 1260 – Meetings are held at the Northridge Recreation Center on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

Veterans History Project – Mission is to collect, preserve and make accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war. Project Healing Waters – Dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active duty military service personnel and veterans through fly-fishing and fly tying education and outings.
Project Sanctuary -501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide therapeutic, curative, supportive and recreational activities to veterans, active military personnel, their spouses and children in a leisure environment.
Remembering Our Veterans (ROV) – Remembering Our Veterans (ROV) meets the first Friday of the month at 1:00 pm in the Castle Rock Senior Center. Activities and Events consist of local veterans discussing their military experiences, authors talking about their military history books, trips to military history museums.
Rocky Mountain Honor Flight – The Rocky Mountain Honor Flight provides WW II veterans with an opportunity to visit the National WW II Memorial located in Washington D.C.

Douglas County First Call – Connects seniors, people with disabilities, and their families, with free information and referrals to transportation and other services.
Castle Senior Center – Provides transportation to members around Castle Rock
To the Rescue – Supports independent living, which includes transportation, commercial and residential cleaning, lawn care and snow removal services and much more.

Disabled Veterans License Plates / Driver’s License – The state offers various license plates and driver’s licenses for veterans and active military. Contact our office at Veterans_Services@douglas.co.us to request disabled veterans license plates.
Disabled Veterans Property Tax – For disabled veterans who qualify, 50% of the first $200,000 of the actual value of the veteran’s primary residence is exempted.
State Veteran Benefits – The state of Colorado provides several veteran benefits.
