If you are a registered Democratic, Republican or unaffiliated voter in Douglas County, anticipate the arrival of your Primary ballot by mail the week of June 6. Follow the checklist below to become election-ready, starting now. And remember, DouglasVotes.com is your trusted source for election information.
Check or update your voter registration or register to vote. DouglasVotes.com is your one-stop shop to register to vote, check voter registration status, update your mailing address, and check or change your party status. You will also find important dates and deadlines leading up to the Tuesday, June 28, Primary Election.
Voters who are affiliated with a political party must change or withdraw their affiliation by Monday, June 6, if they wish to vote in a different party’s primary election. The two political parties holding primary elections are the Democratic and Republican parties.
Are you an unaffiliated voter? Unaffiliated voters will receive the TWO major party ballots in their mail packet (one Democratic and one Republican) but may return ONLY ONE. Sending in two voted ballots will disqualify all of your votes. If you know which party’s ballot you plan to vote, select a party preference now by clicking on “Find my registration” at GoVoteColorado.gov, to receive only one party’s ballot. Selecting a party preference does not affiliate you with that party. Your ballot preference selection is only good for one election and will be removed before the next primary election.
Is your voter registration mailing address accurate? If your mailing address has changed since you last voted in a Douglas County election, update your voter registration information at GoVoteColorado.gov to ensure you receive your ballot and other important election information.
