The Board of Douglas County Commissioners held a Special Work Session, Tuesday, July 16 in Castle Rock to hear funding recommendations and status reports regarding plans for $13.3 million appropriated for school security and mental health services for students. The Board previously approved a resolution appropriating the funds at their May 28 public hearing.
Recommendations made by both the Supportive Mental Health for Students Funding Committee and the Physical School Safety & Protection Funding Committee are currently being reviewed by the Commissioners.
