STRIDE to provide diagnostic and antibody tests at locations in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Parker

It’s now easier to access COVID-19 testing in Douglas County.

Those living or working in the community will find four drive-up locations throughout the County ready to provide no-cost diagnostic and antibody testing to those in need.

“Providing accessible testing options for our residents is important so that those who test positive may obtain appropriate health care and take precautions to avoid infecting others,” said Commissioner Abe Laydon.  “This is a critical tool that helps us stop the spread of COVID-19, keep the numbers down and our economy open.”

Testing is encouraged for those who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been around someone recently diagnosed with COVID-19. Healthcare workers and first responders are also eligible for testing at these locations.

Individuals will not be charged a fee and are not required to have health insurance to be tested at these community testing events. Drive-up testing is available weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Dec. 30 at a location in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree or Parker. Find location, schedule and eligibility details and preregister.

These testing opportunities are provided through a $1.1 million contract with STRIDE Community Health Center to administer COVID-19 testing from Sept. 1 – Dec. 30, 2020, approved in July by the Board of Douglas County Commissioners and funded through federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act dollars designated for community testing and case investigation.
