With safety as the top priority, and winter weather impacting travel, the Strive to Thrive Resource Fair scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 25 from 4-6 p.m. has been canceled. Stay tuned to County News for future events.
For Douglas County residents enduring hard times, it’s good to know that a free hot meal and more than 20 local service organizations will be available at the Strive to Thrive Resource and Service Fair from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Calvary Castle Rock, 1100 Caprice Drive in Castle Rock.
This free event provides attendees with information on where to access food and clothing, medical assistance and more, while providing them with the opportunity to receive many of those benefits while at the event.
Attendees also can learn about employment opportunities, how to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps), as well as many other supportive services.
Strive to Thrive is hosted by Douglas County’s Community of Care Network. For more information on the fair or about the Community of Care Network, please visit douglas.co.us/community/partners-and-providers/community-of-care/strive-to-thrive or call 303-660-7460.
