Are you a vaccine-eligible individual in Douglas County who has had difficulty finding a vaccine near you?

Good news. Appointments have just opened for the distribution of 1,000 of the new, one-dose Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine (review FDA patient information here)  that will be distributed by appointment-only at the Douglas County Fairgrounds: 500 Fairgrounds Rd, Castle Rock, CO 80104 on Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7. Appointments are available from 9 a.m.–3 p.m until filled.

Here is the link to schedule an appointment online. Please note that the registration form is near the bottom of the page. Appointments may be scheduled for those in Phase 1A through Phase 1B.3 who are eligible as of March 5, please see the current list of eligible individuals.

Do you need assistance making an appointment?  The Tri-County Health Department COVID-19 Call Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Call 303-220-9200 and select option 2 for more information and assistance making an appointment.

This is not a drive-thru event. You must enter the building and check-in, confirming your appointment before receiving your vaccine. You will find plenty of free parking at this location. After parking your vehicle, follow the directional signs to assist you with entering the building. Please wear a face covering at all times and observe all COVID-19 safety practices.
