Youth Congress

2022 Youth Congress Online Registration Now Available

Students, grades 9 – 12 are invited to attend Youth Congress, on October 7, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Legacy Campus, formerly the Wildlife Experience.

Topics this year include Mental Health Classes, Youth Criminal Justice, Pressure to Succeed, School safety, Dogs in Schools, Youth Voice, Finances, and Trade School.

Youth Congress is an event where adult leaders work with youth leaders on issues that affect the lives of Douglas County youth. Students, grades 9 – 12 are invited to attend. Registration for the 2022 Youth Congress is now open.

Youth Congress is a project of the Douglas County Youth Initiative, in partnership with the Douglas County Partnership of Governments

Requirements and considerations for participation:

Must be in the 9th-12th grade living in Douglas County
Parent/guardian permission required to attend
Name, age, school, contact phone, and email for participant and parent/guardian required
Lunch will be provided
Participants may choose their topics of interest from a provided list
Excused absence
