Are you looking for a fun and educational way to spend time with your family this summer? Why not take your children or grandchildren on a Douglas County adventure that dates back to the last Ice Age?

Free tours of Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve, a world-renowned historical site in Douglas County, are available at 9 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month through October. The next available date is Saturday, Aug 6.

Guided tours will take you through the prehistoric resting site of mammoth, horse, camel, bison, and sloth. You’ll also learn about artifacts left behind by early humans, which are helping to shape the history of the North American Continent.

Those interested in attending a tour are required to RSVP in advance.  Please visit www.lambspring.org to sign up for the day of your choosing or email [email protected] for more information
