Passport Acceptance Hours

The Douglas County Recording Office provides passport service BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please click the button to the right to schedule an appointment. Appointments may be scheduled 28 days in advance. If there are no openings, please try again the following morning.

All applicants applying for a passport, including children, must be present for the appointment. If for some reason the application cannot be accepted, applicants will be asked to correct the issue and return at a later date.

PLEASE NOTE: Routine passport service can take up to 18 weeks from the day an application is submitted to the day a new passport is received. The 18-week timeframe includes up to 12 weeks for processing and up to 6 weeks for mailing times on the front and back ends. Please plan your travel accordingly.
