Project Update

As of August 2021, the County executed a Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with CDOT regarding funding for final design and ROW acquisition, which includes $1,054,000 in federal funds made available for this project through the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Subregional Project Selection Process; and Douglas County will contribute $1 million, while CDOT is contributing  $2.846 million. DRCOG funds will be allocated directly to CDOT since they are managing the Project.


The County is partnering with CDOT to advance the final design and ROW acquisition associated with reconstructing and widening US 85 to four lanes from Sedalia (SH 67) to Daniels Park Road.
