Project Update

This is a City of Lone Tree Project – contact information is provided in the “Project Manager” section, or you can visit the website listed below for further information.

Recently, the City of Lone Tree held an event on March 14, 2023 (5:30 – 7:30 p.m.) at the Lone Tree Arts Center to learn more about plans to improve Lincoln Avenue from Park Meadows Drive to Oswego Street, including the I-25 interchange and Havana intersection. At the meeting, the preferred design alternative was recommended and presented to advance through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process.

Review Materials from Public Meetings (hosted by City of Lone Tree).

Community input will be critical to understanding transportation problems and developing the best solutions – to provide future feedback on the Planning process, visit “Advancing Lincoln Avenue” website.

Description

The City of Lone Tree, in partnership with Douglas County and other local agencies, is developing a long-term vision to address safety and mobility needs for Lincoln Avenue from Park Meadows Drive to Oswego Street, including the I-25 interchange. To ultimately construct improvements for this corridor, the local agencies will conduct a robust public outreach process to gather community and stakeholder input to understand existing conditions, future development and multimodal transportation needs in the corridor. For more information on this effort, visit the City of Lone Tree’s Project website for “Advancing Lincoln Avenue“.

  • The Lincoln Avenue corridor and I-25 interchange have had some short-term improvements, but need to develop a long-term solution for the corridor and interchange that can be constructed in the next 5 to 7 years, pending funding.
  • Safety and congestion issues will only get worse as the area/region grow.
  • Current communication/feedback effort will advance the project through environmental clearance and preliminary engineering processes.
