Tax Work-Off Program

Tax Work-Off Program

Douglas County offers the Tax Work-Off Program to Douglas County taxpayers 60 years of age or older, or individuals with a disability, the opportunity to work off a portion of their Douglas County property taxes by meeting temporary needs with County departments.     This program is based on C.R.S.  39-3.7-102  and  Douglas  County Resolution Number R-008-036.  Click here to view the Tax-Work Off Program Policy.

The availability of positions is based on the operational needs of the County at the time of application. The minimum wage of $12.56/hr is allowed with the maximum tax work-off potential of $1,256.00, or the amount of the County portion of the taxes that are due, whichever is less.

To qualify you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 60 years of age or older or individuals with a disability
  • Be a homeowner within Douglas County
  • Reside at the address for which taxes are paid
