Electronic In-Home Detention

About our program

In-home Detention is an alternative to incarceration sentencing options made available to the District/County courts of Douglas County. This sentencing option is commonly referred to as “Electronic Surveillance” and allows the defendant to remain gainfully employed while they serve their court ordered sentence. By statute, the defendant is only allowed out of their residence for work, education, necessary medical and court matters. CJS can monitor a defendant’s alcohol consumption and whereabouts electronically, which holds the defendant accountable for court ordered conditions of home detention.

Ordered to In-Home Detention

Please report to Community Justice Services immediately after sentencing to complete an intake between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During the intake, an officer will explain the types documents you will need to provide to start your In-home detention sentence. An officer will schedule you for a future appointment by the stay of execution date ordered by the court.
