Find new employment opportunities in 2022

If you’re looking for an opportunity to go back to work – or need the training to advance your career – mark your calendar for Jan. 20.

In Douglas County, there are thousands of job openings, particularly in healthcare. There are also several ways to get the training and education you need to reenter the workforce and/or advance your career. Connect with these opportunities during a Live Town Hall at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20. Join online at douglas.co.us/townhall or by calling 833-380-0668.

Douglas County’s largest healthcare employers and career advancement resource representatives will join Douglas County Commissioners for the event, which will function as an online job fair. This event will focus on healthcare, with events for other industries to follow in 2022.

Representatives from HealthOne and others will be live to discuss job openings through hundreds of diverse job openings and receive your resume during the live town hall. Check douglas.co.us/townhall regularly for an updated list of attendees.

For those looking for training, representatives from Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, Arapahoe Community College and Colorado State University will be live to discuss their resources and financial assistance.

“In Douglas County, we know that pandemic recovery is dependent on workforce and staffing,” said Commissioner Abe Laydon, Board Chair. “If you are a frontline healthcare worker that left your job at a hospital due to fatigue, lack of childcare, or retirement, our county’s hospitals, in particular, need you. Let’s roll up our sleeves together and get back to work.”
